Take a 90 minute private (by appointment only) tour of Mendehall’s Museum and take a step back in time as Mark and Vickie Mendenhall guide you through their amazing museum and share some great stories. If that’s not enough, Mendenhall’s is also the home of the Dry Lakes Racing Hall of Fame, so be sure to check that out during your visit!
The lovely River View Park is the perfect place to have your own private picnic outside. Make it a date, take the kids, or just enjoy some time outside of the house. Your park picnic gets even better if you consider grabbing takeout from nearby restaurants like:The Tavern at Zaca Creek, Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co., or Mariscos la Rancherita A delicious meal in the great outdoors, sounds pretty good!
If your daytrip to Buellton includes your furry best friend then consider a stop at PAWS Park, the Santa Ynez Valley’s only off-leash dog park. The park is completely fenced with two separate areas: one for small paws and one for large paws. Every trip is better with some zoomies!
Sometimes the best way to experience all Buellton has to offer is to take some of it home with you. We have some truly amazing culinary treats and rather than pick one, we recommend sampling them all! You could start off with inspired doughnut creations from God’s Country Provisions or a delectable breakfast sandwich from Enjoy Bagels. Pattibakes and Eddie’s Grill offer great lunchtime options for you to enjoy at your leisure, and no trip to Buellton would be complete without some BBQ from Hitching Post II.
