Enjoying an August wine road trip along California’s central coast
The Orange County Register stopped in at Buellton’s own Ken Brown Wines on a recent trip up the coast.
“I have a soft spot for this veteran winemaker. His 1985 Nielsen’s Vineyard Chardonnay, made when he was the winemaker at Byron, was a life-changing experience in my salad days, when I believe I paid $7 a bottle. It was a classic expression of Southern California chardonnay. Ken’s mastery of chardonnay and pinot noir continues to impress me.”
If you haven’t been to Ken Brown Wines on Highway 246, we highly recommend it!
