Get ready for a night of nonstop laughter with comedian Dennis Regan live under the stars at Solvang Festival Theater. Known for his quick wit, relatable storytelling, and brilliantly funny takes on everyday life, Dennis has been entertaining audiences for decades with appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show, Comedy Central, and Showtime. His laid-back style, sharp observations, and effortless delivery have made him a favorite on stages across the country.

Opening the evening is SYV local comedian Owen Andersen & Bangs Out!, bringing high-energy improv, spontaneous comedy, and big laughs to kick off an unforgettable night of live comedy in Solvang.

Proceeds from this special event support the incredible community work of Solvang Rotary Club and Solvang Theaterfest. Through scholarships, youth programs, local initiatives, community support, and charitable outreach, Solvang Rotary continues to make a lasting impact throughout the Santa Ynez Valley while helping keep arts and entertainment thriving at Solvang Festival Theater.

The local Danish Sisterhood, Flora Danica #177, in
Solvang is having a reception to launch their new cookbook: ‘Danish Delights,
Recipes and Memories’. It will be a fundraiser for the lodge. Only on September
12, the cookbook will be available for sale at a discounted price of $20. After
the reception, the cookbook will be sold at $25. It will be available at the
Sisterhood Danish Days Booth, The Elverhøj Museum of History and Art, Queen of
Arts vendor faire and the Home Connection.

Flora Danica keeps Danish traditions alive and donates
money to various organizations in the Santa Ynez Valley. They also provide
scholarships for local high school seniors each year. It is a very active lodge
and helps where needed. New members are always welcome. You do not have to be
Danish to join.

Reception will be at the Elverhøj Museum of History and
Art, 1624 Elverhoy Way, Solvang, CA.

Join the California Nature Art Museum for a nature
journaling session on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
at Manzanita Nursery.

This program will include a short introduction to nature
journaling, a group warm-up activity, and an invitation to walk and explore the
nursery’s abundant plant life, or examine select native plants at the CalNAM
artist table. All participants are welcome to enjoy use of CalNAM watercolors,
watercolor paper, pencils, and brushes or to bring their own supplies.

Join us at Standing Sun Live for an intimate evening with Grammy-nominated artist Shawn Mullins on Wednesday, October 21st as he works his way up the California coast!

Standing Sun is a working winery in Buellton that transforms into a live music venue a few times a year for incredible artists like Shawn Mullins. Stainless steel tanks, oak barrels, and original murals become the backdrop, and the room is set up so you are never more than 30 to 40 feet from the stage.

Grab a front-row seat at a table for up to six, or pick seats a couple of rows back in our theater-style section. Come in, take your seat, pour a glass of Santa Barbara County wine, and grab a bite from the food truck before the show. See you there.

Beginning in the independent circles of Atlanta, Mullins rose to global prominence following the release of 1998’s Soul’s Core, featuring his chart-topping, Grammy-nominated anthem “Lullaby.” His career continued with celebrated tracks like “Beautiful Wreck,” the Olympic favorite “Shimmer,” and “Toes,” a collaborative hit with the Zac Brown Band. Marking the twentieth anniversary of his landmark album, he delivered Soul’s Core Revival, a collection of reimagined solo and full-band Soul Carnival recordings that breathe fresh life into the original songs.

Halloween Journey is a unique theatrical event designed for young children (2-8 years old) and their families to celebrate the magic and imagination of Halloween through an immersive, age-appropriate interactive experience. The Santa Ynez Botanic Garden will be transformed into the home of fairies, witches, mermaids, talking gnomes, and the majestic throne of the Pumpkin Queen. This theater experience will lead young children and their families through the garden to experience six vignettes performed by local Santa Ynez Valley performers. Each tale will end with the gift of a small treasure or charm for children to take away.

Tickets are based on timed entry, but we will have tickets available to purchase at the door. The entire journey through all 6 vignettes is between 30-40 minutes.
