Year End Events Round Up
Sweater weather brings some terrific events to Buellton! With so much to see and do for the remainder of the year, we’ve put together this list to help you make the most of the last few weeks in 2023.
November 4, 2023
Brick Barn’s annual Open House is a special invitation to visit Brick Barn and see what it is like to be a member for a day! Enjoy complimentary wine tasting and 15% off purchases all day, plus all spaces will be open to tour including the barrel room and winery. Enjoy fresh pressed juice tastings and live music from 1-5pm; and nosh on food available for purchase. No reservations are needed, but all guests must be 21 or older.

The 15th annual Buellton Holiday Bazaar returns to River View Park on Saturday November 4 from 10am-2pm. Check out an amazing variety of hand-made holiday items and crafts made by local and talented artisans, and find the perfect gift for someone on your list!

The Buellton Fall Festival is a three day celebration that is fun for the whole family! Featuring multiple stages with live music, carnival rides and games, street faire and food vendors, a wine and beer garden and so much more. It all happens right in the heart of Buellton, on Avenue of Flags.

November 11, 2023
Meet and learn about the animals of Zaca Creek Ranch, play lawn games and create beautiful arts and crafts at their picnic tables under the great oak trees. Zaca Coffee, baked goods, fresh farm eggs, and ranch merchandise will be available for purchase. Don’t forget to bring your leftover pumpkins, the pigs and goat’s will love them!

Art Spot’s Painting in the Vineyard classes provide a beautiful, stress-free environment that will both inspire your creative spirit and indulge the wine-lover in you. Don’t consider yourself an artist? Don’t worry. Their trained artist will walk you through the entire painting process step-by-step.

Ain’t no party like a Fig Mtn party – and their anniversary bashes are among the best! This year there will be raffles, contests, food, music, and of course the release of a special 13th anniversary edition beer. Stop by the brewery between 1pm and close and help the Fig Fam celebrate these 13 amazing years!

Vega Vineyard is hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year, with two seating times available! Leave the cooking and entertaining to them as you prepare to enjoy a fabulous holiday buffet complete with fresh-from-the-farm salads, green beans, cranberries two ways, candied yams, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, roasted turkey, roasted lamb, cedar plank salmon – and of course – a delightful dessert stations with pies, cobbler, cheesecake and more!

A Cowboy Christmas returns to Santa Ynez Valley for another year of unforgettable holiday activities for all ages! Favorite experiences such as The Daring Elf Adventure (experiential pony ride through the North Pole), the Tipsy Ornament Challenge (horseback challenge) return, along with new experiences such as the Mt. Crumpet Climb (hay bale pyramid) and the Lasso Arena (test yer ropin’ skills)! Also new this year… sit in Gene Kelly’s famous vintage sleigh for a photo with Santa himself! Children will enjoy bounce houses, the Ultimate Hot Cocoa Bar, games & obstacle course, face painting, petting zoo, Christmas pony decorating & more. Snacks and drinks (including beer/wine for grownups) will also be available!

Create four original keepsake ornaments that you can personalize with names and dates! Choose from a variety of project patterns including: a chilly penguin, jolly Santa, an octopus menorah, festive llamas, wreaths, sugar plum fairies, or design your own! This workshop includes glazing and participants will produce “finished” ornaments that, once fired, will be ready to adorn your tree or house. Additional ornaments can be made for $10 each!

The first Sunday in December is Buellton’s Annual Winter Fest. This one-of-a-kind experience is fun for the whole family and a perfect way to kick off the winter holidays! Start the day at Breakfast with Santa in the Buellton Rec Center. The afternoon brings the Holiday Village at Village Park (located behind Tractor Supply). Come enjoy 20 Tons of Snow, vendors, music, beer & wine, and the lighting of the Christmas Tree. This runs from 4-7pm with the tree lighting at 7pm.

This will be a one-of-a-kind lighted display, an immersive experience in the Garden at night to get everyone into the Holiday Spirit! The Santa Ynez Botanic Garden is located at the West end of River View Park. Tickets to the Holiday Lights Festival include entry into the Enchanted Garden during your purchased time slot in addition to enjoying all that the festival has to offer.
This all-ages event will not only allow guests to stroll the Santa Ynez Valley Botanic Garden through a maze of lights, it will also feature pictures with Santa, Live Reindeer (on Sunday, December 11th and Sunday, December 18th), Falling Snow, Christmas Carolers (on select days), Merchant and Food Vendors, and Beer and Wine for adults. Let this become your NEW Holiday Family Tradition here in the Santa Ynez Valley!
