Part of Visit the Santa Ynez Valley’s Taste of the Santa Ynez Valley celebration, this 2-hour workshop at the Buellton studio will walk you through the steps of crafting your perfect coffee mug from scratch! Once you’ve crafted the shape from slabs of clay, you’ll customize it with unique surface decorations, and once fired your work of functional art will be mailed home to you! Little King Coffee will also be on hand to provide a coffee tasting and pour over demonstration. Your coffee game will never be the same!

The talented instructors of Community Clayworks are partnering with California Nature Art Museum for a special kids crafting event designed for ages 5+! Participants will create a wind chime featuring falling oak leaves and/or tiny woodland creatures, and then paint their pieces with colorful underglazes. Completed wind chimes will be taken back to the Community Clayworks studio for firing and clear glazing, for future pick up at the museum or mailed straight to you.

They host special Brown Bag Retreats and quilting weekends in their private crafting room, creating the perfect escape around completing that long-awaited project you’ve got spread out over your crafting space. With weekends planned in September, November and December; you’ll want to reserve your spot before all of the 2024 Brown Bag Retreats are full!
Flame Kissed offers an unforgettably unique experience for friend and family groups with their Mobile Hat Bar! Just what is a Mobile Hat Bar? The team at Flame Kissed will come to your location and guide a group of adults on the art of pyrography – which literally translates to “writing with fire” – and how to burn hats. Everyone participating will walk away with their own burnt hat, hat band, accessories, hat box/tote bag, and hat brush with their name engraved on it!
The Solvang Bakery is known across the country for their exquisitely designed gingerbread houses, which are technically available year round but really take over the town in late fall. While their more advanced creations are assembled by hand in the bakery workshop right here in Buellton, during the late fall and winter months you can stop by the bakery in Solvang and pick up gingerbread decorating kits to go! While these sweet creations won’t last as long as the memories of making them, they are guaranteed to satisfy everyone’s craving for seasonal fun.
